About

I’m Krista, a museum exhibit developer who lives in Madison Boston Minneapolis Los Angeles with her goofy husband and talkative cat. When not planning museum exhibits, I love to cook, entertain, and make ridiculous things from scratch, like wheat thins and oatmeal cream pies. This blog exists primarily so my family and friends can keep an eye on what I’m up to!

I believe strongly in cooking and serving real food: whole, unprocessed ingredients that people have been eating for centuries. I have no qualms about butter or cheese, but margarine and Velveeta freak me out. That being said, you will find recipes that use sugar and refined flour on this site. The last thing I want to do is demonize cupcakes.

And finally, having the middle name “Lynn” can result in some unfortunate nicknames, like Krista Lynnburger Cheese and Krista Lynnoleum. I prefer Krista Lynngonberry Jam. Hence the blog name. “Lingonberry Jam” also nods at my Swedish roots and penchant for everything homemade. Thanks for stopping by, and happy cooking!

  1. Krista – First of all, I miss you! Second, I am thrilled to finally be on board with Lingonberry Jam. It’s all comfort food to me, and not just the recipes. While talking with your mom last month, she reminded me of this blog. So here I am and glad to reconnect.

    • Hi Susanne! I’m so glad you found my blog! I miss you too, and our lovely lunches and chats. Come visit in Boston sometime; it’s not THAT far! :)

  2. Omigosh; I love the new photo! Seriously, did you slay ANOTHER spatula?? At least you’re easy to buy for on holidays… ;-)

Join the fun!
